Best Of Broadcast Hardware-2010 AAF Lake Charles ADDY Awards

Lake Charles-Let's see...two entries, three awards. Now that is what we call getting your money's worth. Sweet Spot Telemedia made a successful haul at this year's American Advertising Federation-Lake Charles ADDY Awards held Saturday, February 20 at the Isle of Capri Casino in Westlake, LA. The biggest award to-date for the Sweet Spot gang, The ADDY's BEST of BROADCAST designation went for Southern Barbecue's 'How Do You Do Your Roux? 30-second television spot. The commercial also won a GOLD ADDY in its own category that was chock-full of unbelievable creative and the most heavily entered category of this year's competition.

Sweet Spot also picked up a Bronze ADDY for the AutoPlex Group's TAX MAX in-theater commercial. We were excited about this spot because of how much fun we had making it and the results that it got for our client. Any recognition at all by the Ad Fed was like a cherry on top! Oran Parker's custom illustration was the center of the creative and it actually showed us that we had an unexpected tool in our tool box that a lot of creative shops don't.

Along with these awards, members of the Sweet Spot team had their fingerprints on 12 additional award-winning projects for our agency customers. Congrats to all of these firms on their award-winning content and we look forward to being a part of many more winning 'teams'.

Back in May, we headed East for some cityscape aerials of New Orleans to be used in the opening sequence of After the Catch IV. The actual show taping was June 5-9 at the Blue Nile on Frenchmen and the whole gang was there...yes Ladies, Mike Rowe too. I wish I could post pics, but that would be like telling you what's under tree. Episodes begin June 15th.
